It was a full house on the farm for half term this Autumn. As September and October were gorgeous and sunny it was great to see everyone around and about the farm enjoying themselves. It was lovely having all four cottages occupied at once for the first time since brand new Morvoren Cottage was added to the portfolio in September. The guests made full use of the wood burning stove and under floor heating, the only comment being it was too hot!

We made pumpkin soup too!

After lots of practice pictures of pumpkin face designs, always a highlight for Ella, 4. The pumpkins were carved and nicknamed Mr Happy and Mr Scary. They lit up the farmhouse windows all week and we then popped them guests cottages on Halloween under cover of darkness, with a few sweeties for the kids.

The main chef, Farmer Jez, knocked up a tasty seasonal soup with left over pumpkin, potato, celery and lots of cumin. Mmmmmmmm. Next year, our own home grown pumpkins from the Coombe Farm veg patch.
