The Conways moved into Coombe Farm in October 2013. We just fell in love with the peace and beauty of the area, and of course the farm itself. It’s great that though the farm is set in rural countryside, it’s only about half an hour from everywhere that matters: beaches, towns, the moors, plus iconic Cornish attractions.
Within it’s grassy fields Coombe Farm is home to chickens, lambs, sheep and goats that munch away all day, or snooze in the shade by the trees. There are generally some saddleback pigs in residence in the back field away from the cottages. They are very friendly and love being fed.
Coombe Farm has amazing facilities. The outdoor pool is heated from May to September (weather permitting), and everyone comments how surprisingly warm it is! There’s a spacious sun terrace with built in BBQ, sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs so you can just spend the day swimming and relaxing by the pool.
“Thank you for an absolutely wonderful holiday! The kids have loved getting up every morning to feed the animals with Farmer Jez, and playing in the fields and the pool. We’ve had lovely days out including your great recommendation of Daymer Bay, which was fabulous. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, we had a fantastic time and we all can’t wait to come back!” The Kemp Family
Check out the photos in our gorgeous galleries. You will find more images and information on the cottages, farm, the animals, the pool, and local adventuring. It will give you a real sense of life on the farm, and how you might like to spend your time if you come and stay. We are always trying to add new pictures.
The beauty of Coombe Farm Cottages is that the location is rural, yet accessible. Just off the A30 a few miles away from Launceston, you will find us about a mile off the main road. Just over the Cornish border you get all the delights of Cornwall, without the extra couple of hours on the journey! Drive safely everyone.
