When we took over the farm in October 2013 one of the first things to do was re-name the cottages. The plan was to come up with a set of Cornish names that were linked, local, relevant and a bit different. We ran a competition leaving us totally spoilt for choice, with loads of brilliant suggestions. Should it be Cornish Saints, cheeses, du Maurier characters, breeds of pig, types of piskey? (more widely know as pixies of course). We took the decision seriously and ended up going with local landmarks, including lighthouses and lakes. The lucky winner, Andy Bacon, won a free long weekend break at Dozmary Cottage for up to 4 people, plus a dog, which could be taken any weekend off-peak.
