Dip in the Heated Outdoor Pool

The first thing many arriving guests do is park the car in the car park and jump straight into the swimming pool, and why not! The great thing about the pool is it’s a fairly large pool only shared by 4 cottages, so you’ve got a high chance of having it all to yourselves. Heated from May to September, and with steps leading into the shallow end, it is very inviting. Some people swim before and after their days out exploring, and some spend whole days chilling by the pool as they just can’t tear themselves away.

Feed the Animals

Farmer Jez sets out every morning on his rounds. He loves having helpers, or people who just want to watch. First stop is the pigs, who come running for their food. At this point, you’ll probably hear the sheep and goats yelling for their food and waiting for Farmer Jez by the gate, as they know they are next. The goats have separate bowls, so they don’t head butt each other too much. The sheep (ewes, wethers and lambs) like their food a lot and are very noisy. After that it’s the last stop, chickens and egg collecting. Our brood of chickens normally lay at least six eggs a day and it is fun to check the nesting boxes for warm fresh farm eggs. This is the usual selection of animals but of course sometimes this may change.

BBQ

Is there anything better on a warm sunny day than the smell of meat cooking on the BBQ? Dozmary Cottage, Morvoren Cottage and Siblyback Cottages all have built in BBQs in their private gardens. (Sadly we can’t accommodate a BBQ in Godrevy Barn as it has a wooden balcony!) There is also a double BBQ by the pool for everyone to use. So what are you waiting for? Come on down and cook up a storm in this peaceful environment.

Relax on the Sun Loungers

There is a spacious sun deck around the pool. It has a selection of comfy sun loungers, rattan sofas, chairs and tables. Shade is provided by large parasols (new this year), as the area is a bit of a sun trap. This sheltered, private and peaceful area is the perfect place for a spot of sunbathing, reading and relaxing. It’s hard to beat as a place to chill out.

Kid’s Play Area

In the middle of the farm fields you will find a communal grassy garden area with swings and a slide. This area is great for a game of football, frisbee or chase, and a great way for kids to let off steam and enjoy our safe environment.

Have a look at our cottages to decide which would suit you best for a fabulous relaxing holiday.
