What better way to kick-off the festive season than to see the lovely lights switched on in Launceston. The Coombe Farm team headed off into the night with two very excited small people, ready for some fun.

Local favourite Magic Martin mesmerized the kids with his magic tricks
The crowd munched mince pies and hot chips and drank mulled wine while enjoying the atmosphere in the town square. The pop choir sang and the town band banged out some tunes to get everyone in the Christmas mood.

The war memorial provides a perfect centre piece for the illuminations. The moment the lights were actually turned on for the first time was magical. The children’s faces “lit up” (sigh!) and they thought it was “brilliant”. The crowd was certainly impressed by the town’s efforts, thumbs up for Lanson (as it’s known locally… Laaaaaan-sun).

We all left in a very merry mood, (despite the heartbreak over one popped balloon), it’s certainly beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
